Project Summary
Katy will spend her Compton year in Botswana implementing a national system for Anti-Retrol Viral (ARVs) adherence using cell phone technology. She will design a computer program that automatically sends text message reminders to patients to make their doctor's appointments, refill prescriptions and take their individual. Katy’s mentor is Dr. Harriet Okatch of the University of Botswana.
